Our FHIR 4.0® endpoint uses the latest FHIR® standards and is based on the DaVinci Payer Data Exchange (PDEX) Implementation Guide.

The Convergent Provider Search API is a custom API. It returns JSON-encoded responses, uses standard HTTP response codes and verbs, and authentication is performed using oauth2 and bearer tokens. Convergent is scalable and extensible. Our platform allows you to leverage the power of our proprietary set of public and private reference data sources to improve accuracy and integrity.

    • Convergent's CMS-compliant FHIR 4.0® endpoint provides the ability for MA organizations, Medicaid FFS programs, CHIP FFS programs, Medicaid managed care plans, and CHIP managed care entities to implement a provider directory that makes that information publicly available via a FHIR-based Provider Directory API. Convergent enables searching using a robust set of provider demographic parameters including name, address, phone, email, specialty, and identifiers such as NPI and DEA numbers.
